PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE VALUATION ROLL 2022 AND THE LODGING OF OBJECTIONS
Notice is hereby given in terms of section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (No. 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the ‘Act’, that the General Valuation Roll for the financial years 2023 to 2027 is open for public inspection at the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Offices, from 20th February 2023 to 28th April 2023, Monday to Friday during working hours (08h00 to 16h30). In addition the General Valuation Roll will be available at the BCMM’s website www.buffalocity.gov.za
An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the City Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the General Valuation Roll within the above-mentioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the General Valuation Roll as such. The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the following objection sites or website;
The completed forms must be returned before 16h30 on 28 April 2023 to the abovementioned objection sites.

Kennis geskied hiermee ingevolge Artikel 49(1)(a)(i) van die Plaaslike Regering Munisipale Eiendomsbelastingwet, No. 6 van 2004, hierna na verwys as die “Wet”, dat die Algemene Waardasierol 2023 tot 2027 beskikbaar is vir inspeksie by die Buffalo City Metropolitaanse Munisipaliteitkantore, vanaf 20 Februarie 2023 tot 28 April 2023, Maandae tot Vrydae gedurende kantoorure (08h00 to 16h30). Die Algemene Waardasie Rol is ook beskikbaar op die BCMM webwerf www.buffalocity.gov.za.
'n Uitnodiging word hiermee ingevolge Artikel 49(1)(a)(ii) van die Wet gerig aan enige eienaar van eiendom, of enige ander persoon wat dit mag verlang, om binne die bogenoemde tydperk beswaar by die Munisipale Bestuurder in te dien ten opsigte van enige aangeleentheid wat in die eiendomswaardasierol verskyn, of weggelaat is van die eiendomswaardasierol.
U aandag word veral gevestig op die feit dat, interme van Artikel 50(2) van die Wet, 'n beswaar met betrekking tot 'n spesifieke individuele eiendom moet wees en nie teen die eiendomswaardasierol as sodanig nie. Die voorgeskrewe vorm vir die indien van 'n beswaar is verkrygbaar by die volgende beswaarpunte of webwerf:
Die voltooide beswaarvorms moet voor 16h30 op 28 April 2023 ingehandel word by bogenoemde beswaarpersele.
